Why do people buy drills? Noone actually wants a drill, they want the outcome the drill provides which is to help them build or fix something.
Just like with marketing and selling online, your product or service is a means to an end to achieving something greater. That is why people buy, they want the end benefit.
Understand why people want something and you can communicate more effectively, showing you understand their problems to recommend better solutions.
